1 – Learn to Say NO
Boundaries are more important than ever this holiday season, don’t be afraid to set firm limits on who you have over so you can protect yourself and your loved ones. I know it might be disappointing but safety first!
2 – Practical Presents
A lot of people don’t have a lot of disposable income this year, and extravagant gifts might not be on the agenda. Try to be practical in your gift-giving and understand that it is really the thought that counts. Plan a picnic at home, or give your partner a massage – not everything needs to cost money.
3 – Arrange Online Meetings
Online meetings are your friend! Not only is it a safe way to get in touch with your loved ones, but you can get your socializing done in short bursts, leaving more time for you and your partner. This is your chance for a smaller more intimate holiday dinner.
4 – Keep up Traditions
Don’t let yourself fall into a slump, keep your small traditions going as much as possible so you can keep the holiday alive this year. Stockings, candles, whatever you are used to – there’s no need to miss out on everything this year.
